OvataFiber (“we”, “our”, “us”) manufactures and exports Plantago ovata fibre from Gujarat, India. This policy explains how we handle information collected through ovatafiber.com and our B2B sales process. By using the site you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information we collect

We only collect what we need to respond to your enquiry and fulfil orders:

• RFQ form data, company name, full name, work email, phone / WhatsApp, product interest, purity grade, estimated quantity, destination country, and any message you send us.
• Direct correspondence, emails sent to hello@ovatafiber.com or to our export desk.
• Technical logs, IP address, browser, device type, referring URL, pages viewed, and timestamps captured by our hosting provider and caching layer for security and performance.
• Cookies, strictly necessary cookies for site operation. We do not run ad-network or cross-site tracking cookies.

2. Why we collect it

• To respond to RFQs with samples, COAs and quotations.
• To negotiate, contract, dispatch and document export shipments.
• To meet regulatory and customs requirements (FSSAI, US-FDA, EU import, country of destination).
• To detect abuse, prevent fraud, and keep the site secure.
• To send occasional product or supply updates to existing customers (you can opt out at any time).

3. Legal basis (GDPR / UK GDPR)

Where you are located in the EU or UK, we process personal data on the bases of: (a) legitimate interest in B2B commercial outreach; (b) contract performance for live orders; (c) legal obligation for export documentation and tax records; and (d) consent for any optional marketing emails.

4. Sharing & processors

We share information only as needed to operate the business:

• Hosting & email, Hostinger International (web hosting), and our outbound mail provider for transactional emails.
• Logistics, freight forwarders, customs brokers, certifying bodies, and inspection agencies, only with the minimum information required.
• Government authorities, when legally required (export documentation, tax filings, regulatory audits).

We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with advertising networks.

5. International transfers

OvataFiber is based in India. Data submitted via the site may be processed in India and other countries where our service providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent) for international transfers.

6. Retention

RFQ records and order correspondence are retained for the period required by Indian commercial, tax and customs law (typically 8 years), or longer if needed to defend legal claims. Server logs are kept for up to 90 days. Cookies expire as listed in the cookie banner.

7. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (GDPR, UK GDPR, India DPDP Act, CCPA), you may have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; correct inaccurate data; request deletion subject to legal retention; object to processing; withdraw consent for marketing; and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

8. Security

The site runs over HTTPS. Form submissions are protected by CSRF tokens and a server-side honeypot. We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect data, but no internet transmission is 100% secure.

9. Children

OvataFiber is a B2B ingredient supplier. The site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the business or law evolves. Material changes will be flagged on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
