What is the difference between psyllium husk and psyllium husk powder?
Psyllium husk is the milled outer seed coat in flake form (mesh 40-100). Psyllium husk powder is the same material milled finer (mesh 60-200) for capsule fill, tablet binding, and beverage applications. Both have the same fibre composition; mesh size is selected for downstream processing requirements.
What does “99% purity” mean in psyllium husk?
Purity refers to the percentage of psyllium husk content versus residual seed and foreign matter. 99% purity means at least 99% husk and at most 1% other plant material. Higher purity correlates with higher swell volume (≥ 40 ml/g for 99% grade) and is preferred for pharmaceutical and supplement applications.
Which mesh size should I order for capsule manufacturing?
For two-piece HPMC or gelatin capsules, 60-80 mesh psyllium husk powder is standard, coarse enough to flow on automatic capsule fillers, fine enough to dose accurately. For tablets, 100 mesh is preferred. Ultra-fine 200 mesh is used for orodispersible and beverage applications.

Do you provide pesticide-residue test reports?
Yes. Multi-residue panel testing (LC-MS/MS and GC-MS/MS) is provided on request for both organic and conventional lots. Organic lots are tested to confirm non-detect for prohibited substances.

What is the minimum order quantity for psyllium husk?
Standard bulk MOQ is 1 metric tonne (MT). Trial samples of 1-5 kg are available free or at sample charge. For private-label retail packs, MOQ is typically 500 kg per SKU.
Do you offer FOB or CIF pricing?
Both. Standard FOB ports are Mundra and Nhava Sheva. CIF is offered to most major destination ports, quote provided with shipping cost, marine insurance, and lead time.

What documents do I receive with each shipment?
Certificate of Analysis (COA), Certificate of Origin, Phytosanitary Certificate, commercial invoice, packing list, Bill of Lading, and, for organic shipments, Organic Transaction Certificate. Pesticide and heavy metal reports on request.
What are typical lead times?
For standard grades: 15-25 days from PO to shipment. For private-label retail packs with custom artwork: 25-40 days. Container loading is handled at our facility and trucked to port.
